After a week off thanks to the winter weather earlier in the week, CHBC and Ramsey boys basketball got back into action on Friday with the Bobcats beating the Rams 73-44 in the Egyptian Illini Conference opener for both teams. CHBC got out to a 21-14 lead to end the first quarter and pushed it out to 45-24 at halftime. The Rams were unable to slow down the Bobcats in the third quarter, being outscored 20-11 and CHBC continued to hold the lead over Ramsey 65-35. The Rams did outscore the Bobcats 9-8 in the fourth quarter but the early game scoring was the difference as CHBC finished out the 73-44 win. CHBC moves to 3-2 on the season and 1-0 in the EIC while Ramsey 0-4 on the season and 0-1 in the EIC.
