The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is giving an update on road conditions after the snowfall throughout the day today.
In a post on their App, it states that numerous law enforcement officers are responding to severe weather related accidents throughout Fayette County. They ask that you please avoid unnecessary travel if you can. Allow the snow plow trucks time to clear the roadways. Numerous vehicles have slid off and will remain there until road conditions get better. They add there is a semi on the side at the 72 mile marker on Interstate 70 that will remain there overnight. They add these vehicles will be marked with yellow caution tape or orange tape. Please travel safely if you have to go outside.
