
A winter storm system is still on track to hit the area this Friday night and Saturday.
As of this time, our forecast for early Saturday morning calls for a chance of snow with a low of 25. Then, rain and snow during the day on Saturday with a high of 36.
In their latest Weather Briefing, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says it looks like a storm system will bring a wintry mix of snow and rain to the area on Friday night and Saturday with the best chance for accumulating snow remaining across west central Illinois. They do add although they still say it is too early to forecast exact snow amounts, they do add the forecast snow probability has increased the last 24 hours. They add they are confident that a storm system will move across the area, but the exact track of the storm does remain uncertain.
