St. Elmo-Brownstown boys basketball opened its season with a 74-55 win over Lebanon to open play at the Mulberry Grove Thanksgiving Tournament and while it was just the first win of the season for the Eagles, it was the 300th career win for SEB Coach Greg Feezel. After the game, Feezel says the way his boys played hard is how they like to play and made it special.
Feezel has served as Eagles coach for the better part of two decades, taking over as head coach for St. Elmo High School before they and Brownstown began their co-op. Feezel is a homegrown coach, also playing for St. Elmo in the late 1980s including on the 1988 team that took fourth place at the State Tournament.
