
Zachary Allen Eddy, 39, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1985, in Effingham, IL, to Allen Eddy and Renee Brink. Zachary lived a life defined by courage, compassion, and a deep devotion to those he loved.
After graduating from Ramsey High School, Zachary answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. He proudly served for nine years at Fort Bragg as a Black Hawk crew chief, a role he took immense pride in. Zachary toured in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. His service reflected the honor, dedication, and bravery that defined his character. He loved his country deeply and never took for granted the opportunity to protect it.
Zachary had a passion for motorcycles and found freedom in the open road. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, always cheering on his team with enthusiasm. Those who knew him will remember his big heart, his infectious laugh, and his remarkable ability to bring a smile to anyone’s face.
Above all, Zachary was a devoted family man. Time spent with his loved ones was what he cherished most. Whether it was a quiet evening at home or a loud, laughter-filled gathering, his presence was a source of warmth and joy.
Zachary is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret “Meg” Eddy (Williams), who was his rock and greatest love. He is also remembered by his dear parents, Renee and John Brink of Raeford NC, Allen and Shirley Eddy of Ramsey IL; his siblings: Stacey Brink of Harrisonville PA, Dana (Shane) White of Fillmore, IL, Patricia Brink of Anthem, AZ, Tiffany Finch of Saint Robert, MO, Joshua Brink of Rochester Mills, PA, Seth (Courtney) Eddy of Ramsey, IL, Jacob (Ashley) Brink of Spartanburg, SC, Noah Eddy of Ramsey, IL.
He was preceded in death by his; Grandparents: Bobbie and Joe Payne, Bill and Peggy Francois, Richard and Dorothy Eddy. Uncles: Richard (Butch), Paul, Kermit, Charles, and Dean Eddy. Aunt: Brenda Eddy; Niece: Cheyenne Nobles-Braun.
He leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Zachary’s life was a testament to love, loyalty and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
