Vandalia Alderman thanks those that helped with downtown Veteran’s Memorial–Veteran’s Day Ceremony & Parade coming up on Saturday

A Vandalia Alderman is thanking those that helped out with recent work at the downtown Veteran’s Memorial.

During Monday’s meeting, Alderman Andy Lester–who spearheaded the continued improvements at the Memorial–read off a list of individuals he wanted to thank for their help with the Memorial.

Lester says there may be others to thank that he might have missed.  And, if that is the case, he will acknowledge them at a later time.

Meanwhile, Saturday will be a Veteran’s Day Ceremony held by the Vandalia American Legion and the City of Vandalia at 9 am.  There will be a Veteran’s Parade in downtown Vandalia at 11 am on Saturday.
