The St. Elmo/Brownstown Lady Eagles finished up pool play of the 2025 Egyptian Illini Confrence Tournement, with the Mulberry Grove Lady Aces finishing pool play going 0-2.
In the first match of the night, the Lady Eagles got out to a hot start and never looked backing, getting a convincing two-set win over the Martinsville Bluestreaks 25-15, 25-15.
Mulberry Grove would get off to a slow start in the second match of the night, and could not recover, falling in two sets to Martinsville 19-25, 20-25.
In the third and final match of the night, SEB would carry over their momentum from the first match, coming away with a 25-16, 25-21 two-set win over the Lady Aces to wrap up the first night of the EIC Tournament. The wins improve SEB to 17-12 on the season. They will take on the winner of Pool B on for the Championship on Thursday night at 7:30. The losses drops Mulberry Grove to 9-13 on the season. They will play for fifth place in the EIC Tournament on Thursday at 5:30.
