We talk today with Vandalia Mayor Doug Knebel on a few topics.
There has been a lot of talk over the past several weeks on Vandalia Lake and some of the challenges going forward dealing with things like siltation, dredging and repairs to the dam. But, speaking on our podcast “Talking about Vandalia,” Mayor Knebel says this was a really great year on the recreation and tourism side for the lake.
It has been 3 weeks now since the street oiling issues in Vandalia that led to oil on many individual’s cars, along with oil in some ditches and driveways as well. Mayor Knebel talks about the next steps in working to take of the issue.
