The Fire Chiefs of Fayette County are reinstating their request for residents to refrain from burning.
Vandalia Fire Chief Zac Stombaugh joins with all the county’s Fire Chiefs to state that “Due to the extremely dry conditions, the fire chiefs of Fayette County and the City of Vandalia are requesting that all residents of Fayette County and the City of Vandalia refrain from any and all voluntary burning until further notice. This includes items such as yard waste, leaves, brush, trash, ag fields and set asides. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.”
