A Vandalia man is facing one Felony County and one misdemeanor charge of interfering with a domestic violence report in Fayette County Court.
29 year old James C. Willis is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, which is a Class 3 Felony. Information in the charge states that Willis is alleged to have possessed a spring assisted knife.
Willis is also facing a charge of Interfering with the Report of Domestic Violence, which is a Class A Misdemeanor. Information on that charge says that Willis is alleged to have committed the act of domestic violence and then allegedly prevented the individual from making a report to police by taking their cell phone away.
Willis is scheduled to appear in Fayette County Court later this morning.
