We are in for a potentially crazy weather day.
For today, we have a chance of showers and storms today—but we’ll otherwise be partly sunny—with a high of 91 and heat index readings as high as 102 today. Then, showers and storms are likely for tonight with a low of 72.
We could see severe storms and heavy rains tonight. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says more thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into the overnight hours, mainly along and north of I-70. The strongest storms will be capable of damaging winds and heavy rainfall which may lead to flash flooding.
