The Fayette County Board heard a little more information on a potential project that could maybe alleviate some plumbing problems for the Fayette County Jail.
Fayette County Sheriff Ronnie Stevens says the project would involve taking out the bars on A, B, C and D blocks and turning it into a dormitory-style area. And, that would eliminate so many toilets in that area on the second floor. The project would also include some other remodeling in the downstairs area.
Fayette County Board Chairman Jacob Harris spoke about the project after the meeting.
Harris says they do not have an actual cost estimate at this time. He added this is in the very preliminary stages and they should have more information in the future.
