The Fayette County Board held a relatively brief meeting on Tuesday night, taking care of a light amount of business during their monthly meeting.
One of the matters taken care of was the board accepting the resignation of District 2 Board Member Merrell Collins. During the meeting, Board Chairman Jacob Harris spoke about Collins’ impact on the board and for Fayette County during his 6 years on the board. After the meeting, Harris talked about Collins and working with him.
Collins has been a driving force on a few different matters in the county, including on solar and wind projects in the county and Animal Control. Harris says Collins will certainly be missed.
We will have more on the Fayette County Board meeting coming up tomorrow during NewsCenter and on www.vandaliaradio.com
