Verna Mary Pyle, 82, of Vandalia, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville, IL.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 30, 2025, at Unity Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Robert Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Rural Fillmore, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, June 30, 2025, at the church. Memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. She was born July 3, 1942, in Highland, IL, the daughter of Vern Dale & Mary Magdelene (Glover) Harnetiaux. She married G. Kenneth Pyle on June 5, 1960, in Beaver Creek, IL. Verna was a woman of faith. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed reading scripture and doing daily devotionals. She had a kind heart and took in anyone that needed help. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by: Daughter – Lisa Otto & Terry, Bingham, IL; Grandchildren – Nicole & Jeremy, Chaz & Kelsey, Cody, Trevor, Kayla, Cayla, Caitlin & Pascual, Heather & Rob; Great Grandchildren – Dezsiree & Matt, Destinee, Dawson, Chase, Oliver, Trayce, Mark, Aiden, Peyton, Konnor, Malcom, Marlee, Mia, and Leif; Brother – Larry Harnetiaux, Greenville, IL; and Sister – Gail Harnetiaux, Greenville, IL.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; Son – Mark Pyle; 4 Brothers; and 1 Sister.
