The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office handled an accident with injury on Friday.
Fayette County Sheriff Ronnie Stevens reports they were called to the scene of the accident on Friday at 11:08 am at 2800 Avenue, 1/4 mile east of 875 Street. Report say that a vehicle driven by 23 year old Allison Day of Beecher City was traveling west on 2800 Avenue. Day advised she ran off the road to the right to avoid an unknown white pickup truck that was east bound in the west bound lane of traffic. Day’s vehicle then overcorrected and skidded across the road and left the roadway to the left, overturning and coming to rest on its top down in a deep ditch. Day was able to crawl from the vehicle and climb back to the roadway to flag down a passer by.
The driver, 23 year old Allison Day of Beecher City, was transported by Rural Med EMS to Fayette County Hospital where she was treated and later released. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Rural Med EMS and Illinois Conservation Police.
