We hear more today from State Senator Jason Plummer, who was in Vandalia this week to address the Greater Fayette County Chamber of Commerce meeting.
The Democratic Leadership of the Illinois General Assembly passed a $55 billion budget just before the deadline on Saturday night. It also includes new fees to help to try and balance out the budget. Senator Plummer says with people leaving Illinois, it puts more and more tax and fee burden on the citizens left behind.
