The matter of potential expansion of the streets where UTVs and Golf Carts will be allowed in the City of Vandalia now heads to the Public Safety Committee.
During Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting, Alderman Bret Brosman again brought the matter up for discussion, saying that expansion to allow UTVs and Golf Carts on Randolph Street and the remainder of St. Louis Avenue should be the next step.
Brosman also again brought up the idea of reducing the number of crossing signs in town for UTVs and golf carts and it was pointed out that if streets were approved they could remove them at that time. The matter is now being referred to the Public Safety Committee for further discussion and to bring a recommendation back to the full City Council.
