City of Vandalia Alderman Mike Hobler sworn in for new term

The current longest serving elected official in the City of Vandalia has been sworn in for another term.

Ward 3 Alderman Mike Hobler was absent from the May 5th meeting, so he took he was sworn in for a new term in office by City Clerk Carla Huhn prior to this week’s meeting.  Hobler, who was re-elected in the April 1st Election, has been serving on the Vandalia City Council since May 29th of 1997.  He is currently the longest serving Alderman for the City of Vandalia.  And, after Mayor Rick Gottman’s retirement as Mayor, Hobler is the current longest-serving elected official for the City of Vandalia.
