The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is proposing a set of rules for the state’s new Bobcat Hunting Season. Starting this fall, bobcat hunting will once again be allowed in Illinois. DNR Spokesperson Chris Young says they have outlined how the program will work.
There will be no bobcat hunting in northeastern and east central Illinois. These proposed rules still need to be approved by a legislative committee.
