The long range forecast is calling for warmer and drier that average weather in Illinois. State Climatologist Jim Angel says there’s an increased chance of higher temps and less precipitation for the rest of the winter and into spring.
Angel says there’s a chance that La Nina conditions will develop in late summer, which for Illinois typically means hot, dry weather.
