
A Greenville man is facing multiple felony charges after he is alleged to have fled from police on Sunday.
37 year old Jeffrey D. Fischer is charged with 2 Felony counts. One count is Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, which is a Class 4 Felony. Information in the charge says that Fischer was allegedly given a visual and audible signal to stop on U.S. Route 40 in Fayette County by a Sheriff’s Deputy and is also alleged to have exceeded the speed limit by more than 20 miles per hour. Fischer is also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, which is a Class 3 Felony.
In Fayette County Court on Monday, it was determined there is an IDOC hold on Fischer and he agrees to detention. His next court appearance is set for April 1st for a preliminary hearing and appearance with counsel.
