“Festival of Trees” makes donation to Vandalia Veteran’s Memorial Park

The “Festival of Trees” event made a substantial donation at Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting to the Vandalia Veteran’s Memorial Park.

City Administrator LaTisha Paslay said the “Festival of Trees” had designated the Veteran’s Memorial Park as their charity for this year.  They were able to make an $8,000 donation.  The Festival of Trees is an annual event and took place this past November and plans are already underway for the 2025 event.

As for the Veterans Memorial Park, Mayor Rick Gottman says there are still additions that will be made to the park, including a monument for the Space Force coming soon.
