Ramsey Fire Department handled a barn fire on Saturday night and into Sunday morning, receiving mutual aid from 3 area departments.
The Ramsey Fire Department received a call for barns on fire with hay and cattle inside, with the call to the 2600 area of 1300 Street in Fayette County. The Ramsey Fire Department initially responded with two engines and a tanker and immediately requested mutual aid from Vandalia and Brownstown Fire Departments for engines and manpower, and also requested a tanker from Herrick Fire Department, which Brownstown Fire also assisted with a tanker truck. Upon arrival, the Ramsey Fire Department verified the fire to be contained to only one building with hay and dry feed inside and the structure was fully involved upon arrival.
