(Chicago, IL) — Jury deliberations are underway in Michael Madigan’s landmark corruption trial. Jurors finally began deliberating yesterday after weeks of testimony and around 27 hours of closing arguments. They will have to consider near two dozen counts against the former Illinois House speaker. Co-defendant Michael McClain is charged in six of those counts. Both are accused of conspiring to participate in an array of bribery and extortion schemes.
