St. Elmo-Brownstown boys basketball went on a rare regular season Wednesday road trip and suffered a 60 to 45 loss to a tough Edinburg/South Fork team. After a tight 10-10 first quarter, the Eagles were outscored 22-14 in the second quarter and found themselves trailing 32-24 at halftime. The third quarter would be close again, with Edinburg able to get a three point advantage in the quarter to edge their lead out further to 45-34 as the third quarter came to a close. SEB was outscored 15-11 in the fourth quarter and that would seal the win or Edinburg as the Eagles were handed the 60-45 loss. SEB is now 9-8 on the season and will get back into conference action on Friday when they will be at Mulberry Grove in an Egyptian Illini Conference game.
