(Springfield, IL) — New dentists in Illinois may soon be able to get a head start on their careers. Lawmakers in Springfield are looking at a plan that would allow recent dental school graduates to start working while they wait for their license from the state. New dentists could work for three months before the state issues them their license under the plan. State Rep. Theresa Mah, who is driving the plan, says the idea is to let dentists get started without any arbitrary delays from the state.
