Severe Storms hit the area on Sunday evening.

After getting some rounds of thunderstorms earlier in the day, severe storms hit the area during the 5 pm and 6 pm hours yesterday evening.  Starting with a severe thunderstorm warning and then leading to a Tornado Warning from severe storms capable of producing a tornado that lasted until 6 pm.  The storm warnings were for the southern half of the county and there has been damage reported in the Vernon area.  No other damage reports at this time, but more may come today.  Many in the area got photographs of the rainbow after the storms.
