St. Elmo-Brownstown suffered their second National Trail Conference loss of the season, falling at Dieterich, 65-46, on Tuesday night. The Eagles struggled to get their offense going in the first quarter, being held to five points as Dieterich ran out to a 17-5 lead. SEB was able to get some offense moving in the second quarter but was outscored again by the Maroons, 18-13, and trailed 35-18 at halftime. The Eagles fell further behind in the third quarter as Dieterich went on a 21-14 run to pull ahead of SEB 56-32 at the end of the third quarter. The Eagles came back and outscored Dieterich 14-9 in the fourth quarter, but the effort was not enough as SEB fell 65-46. The Eagles are now 18-6 on the season and 3-2 in the NTC. They will get back into action on Friday at South Central in another NTC matchup.
