(Lake Co., IL) — The trial date for the suspected Highland Park shooter is being pushed back. A Lake County judge canceled the February 26th trial date for Robert Crimo the third, who reappointed his assistant public defenders last week after telling the judge he was going to represent himself last month. One of his attorneys asked to push the date to February 2025. The judge will set a new trial date on February 21st. Crimo faces numerous charges for allegedly killing seven people and wounding dozens more at the Highland Park July 4th parade in 2022.
