We could be looking at our first measurable snowfall of the year on Saturday evening and night. We still have rain in the forecast for today and tonight, with a high today of 51 and a low tonight of 39. For Saturday, we start off the day with rain and we’ll see a high of 41. But, temperatures will begin to fall and then the rain will change to snow and sleet and then become all snow after 8 pm on Saturday night as we’ll see a low get down to 17 on Saturday night. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says that anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible for many areas in the region. Other weather outlets pin it at more like 1 to 2 inches of snow for our area. Weather Underground (which is available on our website, www.vandaliaradio.com) is shooting a little lower on their snowfall prediction for Saturday evening and night, saying we’ll be right around one inch.
