A 64 year old St. Elmo man died in a mobile home fire north of St. Elmo on Thursday.
Fayette County Coroner Dave Harris says 64 year old Larry D. Reed was staying in the mobile home owned by his brother when it caught fire. Among the other agencies present were the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, State Fire Marshall’s Office and Fire Departments from St. Elmo, Brownstown, Altamont and St. Peter. The investigation into Reed’s death and the cause of the fire is ongoing and no further information is being released at this time.
