(Chicago, IL) — The state’s medical marijuana program is apparently a hit, despite fewer than expected patients. The state says Illinois patients purchased nearly one-point-seven-million-dollars worth of pot products during November and December, the first months of actual sales. Twenty-eight-hundred patients made purchases from one of 20 dispensaries across the state, generating one-hundred-seven-million-dollars in taxes for the state.
