A scooter accident leads to a Mulberry Grove woman being injured.
The accident occurred on Monday afternoon on County Road 1025 Avenue and County Road 175 Street. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says in their report that a scooter being operated by 58 year old Laurie A. Wells of Mulberry Grove was negotiating a curve on County Road 1025 Avenue. While navigating the curve, the scooter struck some loose debris or gravel on the roadway causing Wells to lose control of the scooter and slide onto its side. Reports says Wells was thrown off the scooter, sustaining a head injury. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reports say Wells was airlifted from the scene.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says they were assisted on scene by the Mulberry Grove Fire Protection District, Rural Med EMS and Air Evac.
