Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City baseball bounced back from a tough one-run loss in their season opener in a big way, routing Pana 16-6 on Monday. The Bobcats would put up three runs in the first inning before holding Pana to a single run. They would break the game open in the second inning though with six more runs in the second and another six in the third inning to lead 15-3 heading into the fourth inning. The Bobcats would tack on one more run for a 16-3 lead before Pana would close the game to 16-6 with three runs in the bottom of the fourth. Each team would then be held scoreless in the fifth inning and the Bobcats would walk away with the 16-6 win in five innings. CHBC is now 1-1 on the season and is scheduled to host South Central today.
