Law enforcement across Illinois has stepped up patrols throughout the holidays, looking for drunk and impaired drivers with the message “drive sober or get pulled over.” Kristi Hosea, regional victim’s service manager for Mothers Against Drunk Driving, asks people to keep the road safe by taking precautions ahead of time.
Step up and be the good guy who gets people home safely, Hosea says. Even one drink will slow a person’s reaction time.
When in doubt, take a friend’s keys and call a rideshare.
