There will be a Town Hall in Vandalia this evening to further discuss the SAFE-T Act, which is a package of laws that will take effect starting on January 1st in the State of Illinois. State Senator Jason Plummer says plan, which includes several different plans for law enforcement and also includes No Cash bail, never got any scrutiny from lawmakers before it’s early morning passage.
The Town Hall will be held this evening at 6:30 pm at the Kaskaskia College-Vandalia campus. Along with Senator Plummer, Fayette County State’s Attorney Joshua Morrison and Sheriff David Russell will also be on hand. The public is encouraged to attend.
