A trip to a historical gym in a neighboring time zone was a productive one as the South Central Lady Cougars got a 64-47 win over Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville on Saturday at Hoosier Gym in Knightstown, Indiana. Playing in the same gym that the all-time great basketball movie “Hoosiers” was filmed in, South Central came out of the gate strong and jumped out to a 13-point lead in the first quarter and expanded that lead to 27 points, going up 39-12 at halftime. OPH would outscore the Cougars 35-25 in the second half, but South Central held on for the 64-47 win. South Central is now 6-3 on the season and will be back on the road Monday night when they travel to Woodlawn.
