City of Vandalia Fairlawn/Catholic Cemetery Vandalized—-City offering a reward

News Release from the City of Vandalia–

VANDALIA, ILLINOIS – August 12, 2021. This morning Vandalia Police Officers responded to a report of Vandalism in Fairlawn/Catholic Cemetery. Several headstones had been damaged in the cemetery. “It is a very sad day when someone feels the need to desecrate stones at the final resting places of the deceased. Anyone involved in this should be ashamed of themselves. We are offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person or persons involved in the vandalism.
