A new officer is officially on the job now for the Vandalia Police Department.
At Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting, Tanner Swain was sworn in as the newest Vandalia Police Officer. He was joined during the swearing in by Mayor Doug Knebel and Police Chief Jeff Ray. Officer Swain was sworn in by his Mother, City of Vandalia Deputy Clerk Danielle Miller.
