The gas prices around the area are pretty similar heading into this Easter Holiday Weekend.
According to gasbuddy.com, Vandalia was actually the lowest of area communities this morning as prices ranged in Vandalia from $3.87 to $3.89 per gallon, according to the website.
As for Effingham, their prices ranged from $3.89 to $3.92 per gallon. Greenville was $3.96 to $.3.97 per gallon. Salem’s prices ranged from from $3.95 to $3.99 and Pana stations were at $4.29 per gallon, again according to the website this morning.
Gasbuddy.com had the cheapest price for gas at a station in Quincy where it was $3.39 per gallon and in Rock Island where it was $3.44. If you are heading south on Interstate 57 this weekend, you might check out Ina—where gas was listed at $3.59 per gallon.
The average price for a gallon of gas in Illinois is at $4.26 per gallon, according to Gasbuddy.
