Showers and Storms are on the way for today.
Showers and storms are likely for today around the area. We will also see cooler temperatures than originally expected for today. Our forecast just yesterday called for us to see a high in the 70’s today. But, our high will now be just 64. Showers and storms will stick with us for tonight with a low of 59. The winds will return tonight and gust from the south at better than 20 miles per hour.
Meanwhile, rain and storms remains in our forecast through Saturday. And, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says we have a threat of severe storms on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, after showers and storms across most of the area overnight ahead of a cold front, strong to marginally-severe thunderstorms may redevelop during the afternoon across most of the region. As for Friday, the NWS says following Thursday’s round of thunderstorms, yet another strong system will bring another threat for severe weather to the area during the afternoon and evening on Friday.
