(Springfield, IL) — A Springfield Park District employee is dead after an on-the-job accident yesterday. The incident happened at the maintenance building of Lincoln Greens Golf Course Thursday morning. The 51-year-old man was found under a mower and taken to HSHS Saint John’s Hospital by EMS. He was pronounced dead at Saint John’s just before 11:30 a.m.
