After a lot of discussion and talking about some different possible solutions to the siltation issues at Vandalia Lake—but never really getting hard and fast prices on what is would cost–the City of Vandalia should finally start getting those answers this spring.
During Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting, City Engineer Lee Beckman told the City Council he should have some options and the prices for those options on his month appearance in April. And, Mayor Doug Knebel questioned him to make sure they were on the same page.
Speaking on our podcast “Talking About Vandalia,” Mayor Knebel says they know there are a couple of different options they can go with. And, he says a couple of the City’s Aldermen are looking to get some further information.
The biggest factor the City is looking to pin down is the cost. And, they are hopeful they will be able to move forward with some of the work potentiallythis summer.
