(Sangamon Co., IL) — The Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the 1987 disappearance of Brenda Bottoms from Auburn. Authorities say Brenda was 22-years-old when she was last seen June 28th, 1987 in the 200 block of North 5th Street. Witnesses reported that she voluntarily got into a brown vehicle and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Investigators conducted additional interviews and developed new information last year indicating that other individuals may have seen Brenda that night. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office.
