Fayette Co EMA reports Sirens not functioning properly in St. Elmo—Alternate Plans to be followed in case of severe weather

From Fayette County EMA Director Ryan Scott—

Due to technical issues the Warning Sirens for the City of St. Elmo are not functioning properly. In the event the National Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning Fayette County EMA along with St. Elmo Police Department will patrol the streets and announce over the PA to take cover, tornado. The St. Elmo Fire Department is working to make the repairs on the warning siren system. The County Emergency Operations Center is in operation and monitoring the weather conditions.
