The issue of locking in ambulance service in Fayette County has been an issue for quite some time, and the Fayette County Board is hopeful they took a step towards making that happen with their formation of the Ambulance Oversight Committee. And, Vandalia Mayor Doug Knebel says they look to help be part of the solution.
The County Board voted to form the committee at their meeting on Tuesday with Fayette County Emergency Management Agency Director Ryan Scott originally bringing the idea to the board. One member of the Committee if City of Vandalia Alderman Kenny Lewey. Speaking on our podcast “Talking about Vandalia,” Mayor Doug Knebel says he knows first hand about past efforts by the Fayette County Board to come up with a permanent solution and vows to have the City of Vandalia be part of any solution to this problem.
