The Fayette County Board will again work on trying to help secure ambulance service in Fayette County.
The County Board at their monthly meeting on Tuesday night, agreed to form the Ambulance Oversight Committee, which was originally suggested by Fayette County Emergency Management Agency Director Ryan Scott. He talks about the goals of the committee.
The committee is made up of Dan Lutz, Kevin Jenne, Kyle Albertina, Kenny Lewey, Jeremy Scruggs, Jason Guerrettaz and Scott. Scott says he believes they have a good mix of different experiences coming together to form this committee.
As has been discussed for quite a few years now, Rural Med EMS has been providing ambulance service in the county but has no type of contract or agreement in place at this time. Also, no type of funding from the county or municipalities is provided to Rural Med as of this time.
