Brownstown-St. Elmo girls basketball won their fifth straight game and their fourth straight by a margin of 25 points or more, beating Webber 62-30 at home on Friday night. The Lady Bombers lit up the scoreboard in the first half, scoring 22 points in each of the first two quarters while holding the Lady Trojans to eight first quarter points and just two in the second to lead 44-10 at halftime. Webber outscored BSE 11-9 in the third quarter and both teams put up nine points in the fourth quarter but the first half offensive onslaught was enough to give the Bombers the big win, 62-30. BSE moves to 8-1 on the season and will have a run of conference games coming up this next week, hosting Martinsville on in Egyptian Illini Conference action before traveling to South Central on Tuesday and then Windsor/Stew-Stras for a pair of National Trail Conference matchups.
