The Altamont Lady Indians returned home on Thursday night and put on a strong defensive showing as they got a big win over Casey-Westfield, 34-12. Altamont held the Lady Warriors scoreless in the first quarter s they took a 9-0 first quarter lead behind a pair of three-pointers from Ada Roberts and Reagan Kuenstler. The Lady Indians scored just six points in the second quarter but allowed only three points to Casey-Westfield, all three coming on free throws, as Altamont held a 15-3 halftime lead. The Lady Indians held the Lady Warriors scoreless again in the third quarter, extending their lead to 22-3 by the end of the quarter. Altamont outscored Casey-Westfield 12-9 in the fourth quarter, with Avery Aldrich dropping six points in the quarter, as they closed out the 34-12 win. The Lady Indians are now 4-2 on the season and will begin National Trail Conference play on Monday as they head to Effingham to face St. Anthony.
