We will see a very brief warm up today, with some light snow this evening and then much colder temperatures on the way.
For today we do have a chance of flurries last this afternoon, but we’ll otherwise see mostly cloudy skies for today with a high of 35. Then, we might start off with rain and then see it change to snow tonight with an overnight low dipping all the way down to 13. New snow accumulation for tonight of less than a half inch is possible.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis says as a cold front sweeps through the region today, a band of precipitation will accompany it. Most of this precipitation will struggle to reach the ground, and what does will start as light rain or a rain/snow mix before transitioning to light snow. Most locations will see a dusting to no accumulation.
Meanwhile, cold temperatures will stay for a few days. We’ll see a high just in the lower 20’s on Thursday, down to a low in the single digits on Thursday night before we begin to warm up a bit on Friday.
Sunrise today is at 6:58 am and sunset is at 4:34 pm.
